Some of the Council activities past and present include:

Participated in the 100th Anniversary of Vacation Bible School
Yearly preparation of Clergy packets for new ministers
assigned to the area
Co-Sponsored a Passion play (The Company of Jesus), 1995
Kitchen Helpers Meeting for Churches, with Department of Health
Easter-Sunrise Services at Sunset Hills Cemetery
Publish a Faith & Clergy Directory
Provide a database of our Churches on disk
Provide mailing labels of area churches
Newsletter publication
Sunday School Teacher Exchange
Participation in the 4th of July Parade – City of Flint, 2001
Became even “greater”, when churches in nearby counties
joined our group
Supported Flint NIPP and Salem Housing Task Force
Use of Candles in Churches Workshop and
Food Handling Workshop with Flint Fire Department
Yearly Workshop for Christian Education Workers
Received plaque for the Council being a “Parent Friendly Employer”
-awarded Feb. 27th,1998 by the
Genesee County Parenting Awareness Month Coalition
Involvement with Concerned Pastors for Social Action
Yearly involvement with the Children’s Defense Fund of
Washington, D.C., and their Stand for Children programs,  
as well as yearly participation in Children Sabbath Events
Establishment of the Harold A. Draper Service Award
Provide burial spaces at Flint Memorial Park.  One Hundred (100)
burial plots in commemoration of the Cemetery’s 40th Anniversary,
to be utilized by the Council’s Member churches
Assumed an active role in the Interfaith Council of Genesee County
Participation with Church Women United- May Fellowship Day, World
Day of Prayer, and World Community Day Celebrations

4 C’s Children Fair Event – Courtland Center
Yearly Thanksgiving Community Service
Participated in the Coalition to Repeal Proposal E (Casino Gambling)
Community Revival – (Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian,
and Children’s Night)
Spring and Fall Musicals
Collection of old eye glasses and canned goods
Collection of white anklets for residents of nursing homes
Revitalization of the Nursing Home Program

Conducted Worship Services at Rosehaven Community Center

Participated with the Genesee County HIV Task Force
Jail Ministry
Participated in Brush-Up Flint until its demise
Establishment of Convocations for Pastors
Supported CAP ( Citizen’s Against Pornography)
Participated in supplying relief packages to victims of Hurricane Katrina

Jena Six-members went seeking and supporting justice-2007

Participate in the annual Prayer Chain Day
